Emacs 19.12 and libc.so.4.4 crash...

Subject: Emacs 19.12 and libc.so.4.4 crash...

I decided to upgrade to the new GCC so I installed the new libc and libm (4.4)
Now whenever I attempt to do something such as M-compile, emacs crashes and
displays Fatal Error(11).Segmentation Fault...I am using linux0.99.pl10 and
emacs 19.12 Can anyone help?
