I have not found this necessary.  The only thing you must do for DR DOS 6
is to set your Linux partition types to something other than 81/82/83.  If
you pick one of the Xenix partition types, which DR DOS knows about, it will
ignore it as it should.  Apparently DR DOS ignores the upper bits of the
partition type field, and thinks that an "82" is a "2", which is a valid
DOS 2.0 partition!

If you had read the Linux FAQ, you would have known that DR DOS needed the
Linux partition type to be set to something other than 81/82/83.  That's
it!  Everything else works perfectly with DR DOS.

Sounds like you screwed up, and destroyed a perfectly good DR DOS, which
is the DOS to run, if you are forced to run DOS at all!
