I too get this problem on a daily basis. The Tin newsreader
configured for NNTP seems to consistently produce the problem.

I'm running SLS 1.02 with the 05/31/93 update installed.
I have a 486DX2/50 with 8MB ram and 8MB swap.

I'm hoping that the pl 10 kernel and net-2 release will fix
this when they get things stabilized.
