I will be installing my Maynard 525 mb external SCSI tape drive, along with the
Adaptec controller card, in my current SVR4 system next week.  After doing such,
I plan to backup my SVR4 system onto two tapes (yep, got a 'gig' of disk space
on my unix machine), and then install ms-dos 5 (possibly 6) on the
340 mb disk, and the latest Linux (SLS distribution) on the 676 mb drive.

questions:

1) When I go to reconfigure the Ultrastor 12F, which "grouping" should I
target the option settings to?  a MS-DOS system, one of the Unix varients, etc. ??

2) anything special needed to be done to the Adaptec board with regards to
any on-board settings?  My SVR4 system (which is Consensys V4) specifies an
interrupt setting and i/o address setting i believe, for a 1540-type controller.
