Any reasonable, X-based wordprocessor with WYSIWYG capability would be great for Linux ( and other UNIX boxes. ) Sure substitues for text input and formatting exist, but many newcomers to Unix from the DOS and Mac worlds will not tolerate anything less than a full-featured WYSIWYG wordprocessor. I am working on getting Linux used within the company and I know people are going to be looking for a Wordprocessor, File Manager, Spreadsheet, and Database if they have to give up their DOS apps.
