I don't use NNTP, except for mini-inews program included with it -- which I had to fix to make 
work.  (Bugs in gethostname calls -- I posted the fix earlier -- will also help by e-mail if 
requested.)

I've been using trn2.5 to access an INN server -- works great.  The INN server has XTHREADs, so I
don't even have to keep around a copy of the thread files (which are about 37 Mb if you thread our
complete news server -- agate.berkeley.edu)  I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has info on
getting nn or tin supporting XTHREADs from the server.  I'd like to offer a more intuitive news-
reader (than trn) to my users, but can't afford the disk space to keep around a bunch of thread files.
