I tried using different disks to rid myself of this problem, to no avail. 
Finally, I got a hold of the boot_b program, and used it to boot Linux off
my B drive, and the inital problem was solved, but as the FAQ states,
after it had booted, it tried to read off the A: drive again, which halted
the process.
        
        So, I opened up my unit and changed the boot drive to the 3 1/2
disk, rawrote the images, and my machine booted up with no problems.
