Someone outthere may be able to help me,
I made a mistake in the inittab file I think and now when
I boot linux there is message continiously being displayed
"getty -c checkfile"
"Usage : getty [option ] line ....."
I can not get back into the system to re edit the file . I
thought that I maybe able to boot up on the original A1 and A2
SLS disks then modify the file.
It boots up alright but, and when I do a mount command it says
/dev/hda2 is mounted on /mnt but there is no /mnt in the root
directory.
Does someone know how I can access my hard disk to modify that
file, I don't want to have to do a reinstall.

thanks
