Recently I've been getting problems with 'compress' with linux.

I have compressed files on a local unix machine, and then downloaded 
them only to have compress give me an error message.

Can anyone out there be kind enought to tell me where to find a new
binary (without having to go through the SLS binary to get it, etc).
