I don't think we should split the newsgroup, but instead try to
supplement it with another mailing list.  

I'm using rn (yuck!), and the KILL file just isn't helping much.  I've 
noticed a lot more activity on this news group since school started
again (as would be expected), and the number of postings in each thread 
is relatively small but a lot of threads are very similar in nature.  I 
like to help people but it is hard for me to find the time if it takes 
so long to read all of these posts.  

If only someone would write a news reader that used AI techniques to
learn what I don't like and then kill the files automatically.  Now THAT
is a good idea!  :-)
