        I don't know. Maybe you have GCC 2.2.2d? (Is that out yet?) I have just
2.2.2. Anyway, I first tried what you did, make the symlink, untar, and
try to make. It couldn't find some include files, and from there I had
to do that (admittedly ugly) hack. I could have old bits and piece of
stuff that could've caused some trouble, but I'm not the only one that
had that problem.
