Yes, that is way over 19.2 kbps, eh? :-) Sorry to disillusion you, but by way of
testing I just downloaded the uncompressed minicom sources with zmodem using
a 14400 bps transfer rate and v.42bis compression. I achieved a throughput of
3576 cps, which translates roughly to 28 kbps.

So don't use them. I don't use CIS-B and I've never had problems with the

What's wrong with TeleMate? I abandoned Telix long ago in favor of a better
comm program. Perhaps it has improved meanwhile... Anyway, I don't understand
your reference to MS Dos like comm programs. A comm program is a comm program,
whatever the OS.
