Hi all Linuxers,

I have been reading about the "complaints" that there are old versions of
software that are hanging around that are confusing. May I suggest that the
different versions of the OS hould be kept separate. I am trying to sort
everything out and get Linux 0.97. I am often confused by the fact that in
one subdirectory, there are about 4 versions of Linux. Why do we not keep them
separate - eg.
/pub/linux/ver0.97 contains all the files needed for installing
                                        linux 0.97
/pub/linux/ver0.96 contains all the files pertaining to Linux ver
                                        0.96a, 0.96b ....
/pub/linux/all contains older files pertaining to other (older)
                                        versions of Linux

        /pub/linux/patches
        /pub/linux/utils
        /pub/linux/gcc
        /pu/linux/X11
                etc etc.

( Just my 0.000000000001 cents worth 8->)

Thanks
Divya
