Dear Linux Gurus,
I have an MFM HD drive, whch has a sector which has gone bad.
When I fscked the disk it had some badblocks, but I can't see the badblocks file
anymore - has the fs been hacked so its not seen, or (moe likely) I gess I
'rm'ed it by mistake. Anyhow, I get an error message on dev 0341 sector 41388.
How can I build a badblocks file (or a file of any name, for that matter) which
will contain this sector ? I can load minix if neccessary (seem to recall a
badblocks prog from it), but we will be moving to the new fs someday so I think
a non fs dependent solution would be excelent (if possible ? :-)

Help (as ever) greatly appreciated ...

Tony
