I have access to a PC which I would like to run linux on. However, its primary
purpose is to serve the needs of two other grad students, so I can not change
its configuration too much (ie I can not repartition the hard drive). Will
this patch allow me to create a large MS-DOS file which I could mount and
use as my root file system? I suspose that I need a few things like /etc and
/bin which could not be in this file system file, but that would be
allright also.

Thanks,
