On my machine, C-A-D goes Technicolor. The screen is filled with pretty
characters of all colors, flashing. Then my EISA CMOS gets hosed and the
machine locks solid.

Before 0.96cpl2, sometimes it would work and sometimes it would just lock.
Now, I get fireworks.

The machine is an Insight 486/33 with AMI BIOS.
