i've compiled xgobi with trivial modifications in the Makefile.
when i've tried to execute it under X, i can hear it loading stuff
from the hard disk, but it doesn't open up a window for xgobi or
anything. it just does some disk stuff for five seconds and then sits
and waits.

the system doesn't crash or anything, i can exit xgobi by just
typing <CTRL>-C.

is this a window manager problem or something?

has anybody compiled xgobi and got it to work?
