I just put it there, so it's no wonder you haven't been able to find it.
Unless I did something stupid when making the image (never tried it
myself), it should have the same setup as the sources I put out: US
keyboard, everything but kernel profiling compiled in, and set up to use
a floppy as the root fs.

And as to the mount binary: it wasn't pl2 that broke it - it just
happened to work under older versions even though it did things it
shouldn't have.  But pl2 /may/ break X11 if you are running it on
chipsets that the driver needs BIOS access for - I haven't looked into
it, but it may be that X11 counts on being able to read /dev/mem to read
the BIOS, which no longer works.
