In a strange fit, I bought the OS/2 from Windows upgrade,  Trashed my Linux0.95
partitions, and figured out how to run OS/2 without the Workplace Shell...
but with gcc and emacs.

As anyone who has installed OS/2 will  understand,  *logical next step* after
seeing OS/2 in action is... MORE HARDWARE ! ... so I bought a 486 and 8Meg
of memory.  

"jeez ... this thing is still slow..." says I... 
"and under Linux I had lots more software, and the news group is *much* less
strident than Comp.os.os2.* ..."

Now I am back, with GREAT hardware for Linux... and all thanks to OS/2 :-)

Boot from a floppy until you decide to trash your HPFS partitions :-) :-)
(this is realy good advice,  a boot floppy seems like a safe bet with
 software that is still beta...)

Note:  This is not intended to start a Linux vs OS/2 war ... if anyone wants
       to start one,   do it in Comp.os.os2... they are used to it :-) :-) :-)
