You need to hit return a number of times. Unfortunitly I had to modify
getty to work this way since otherwise error correcting modems would
always fail to connect since they send garbage to the computer.
(does any one know if there is a better way around this problem?)

Just try hitting return rapidly until you get a login prompt.

So far there hasn't been much interest in the BBS so I haven't kept
up with the latest Linux files for it, but if people request a particular
file I'll try to get it.
