There is a fax package written for Sun's that will allow you to send a
fax as mail.  I haven't tried to compile it for linux.  I don't
remember the name, but asking archie for a substring of "fax" should
find it.  There is an older version in the comp.source.unix (?)
archives.  It won't receive fax, but the docs suggest that it wouldn't
be hard to make it do so.  I don't know how to display or print the
stuff.  If someone's interested & can't find it, I'll try to find an
address in it.
