If there is demand for it, I can post the source diffs (rather than the entire source
code which can be gotten from labrea.stanford.edu), but that might take some time
since I'll be on vacation shortly and very busy next week. Also, note that I'm not
too happy with my current port because it's not shared (library) and I have trouble
with the shell mode (BTW: I use bash 1.12--tcsh works, but without job control).

I consider this a quick hack so my diffs would not qualify for merging back into the 
distribution and I don't have time to clean them up. Also I need to recompile with
the newest gcc (the one used was beta) and include Ross' tcpip network support
(for open-network-stream).
