Thanks, I discovered this after beating myself senseless a few times
with
NU. :)  I ended up re-partitioning the Linux portion of the HD and
creating

/dev/hda2  55 megs Linux
/dev/hda3   5 megs swap

0203 was what I entered in bytes 508 & 509 and the HD is now the root
filesystem.  Take care.
