No one has bothered to correct this so I guess I will. The information

On a related topic, there is a design problem on the motherboard if

it's pretty likely that there is bus contention. On a properly designed

Exactly so. We need to write the page in such a way that the kernel
doesn't notice. Hum, I've used kernels that did that, but it wasn't a
feature.

| Olaf Schreck | how to put bootimage on hd? (faq?)
Hi,
sorry to ask this faq, but i didn't find it in the faq list (date 92/06/12).
should be added, i think.

i tried "dd if=/dev/floppy0 /vmlinux" but this gave me a 1.4 MB file
(the whole floppy disk instead of ~ 230k bootimage file).
i'm using shoelace, as you might guess. changed the root partition, edited
the bootdisk with dos norton utili...

Do you know if your GNU patches are significantly different than Rick

does this just fine but vt100 only has 24 lines and the local terminal
information gets tweaked slightly. The console window will scroll properly
using only 24 lines. The problem is when you exit elvis, you get put on
the 25'th line and the scrolling goes to "&(*#%$@!".
Rebooting "fixes" the problem but I've found another approach. If you
load emacs w...
