Hi, sorry to ask this faq, but i didn't find it in the faq list (date 92/06/12). should be added, i think. so: how do i put the BOOTimage onto my hd? i did this once, worked fine, but can't remember where i read about this. must have been something with dd. i tried "dd if=/dev/floppy0 /vmlinux" but this gave me a 1.4 MB file (the whole floppy disk instead of ~ 230k bootimage file). i'm using shoelace, as you might guess. changed the root partition, edited the bootdisk with dos norton utility, but can't get this image onto the hd to boot without a floppy. btw, read all fine manuals available to me :-) any hints appreciated. thanks alot. olaf (olafabbe@w250zrz.zrz.tu-berlin.de)
