Make **absolutely** sure that your entry for the C: drive in /etc/mtools has the right FAT specified (if you specify the wrong one, you will -trash- things on your C: drive if you attempt a write (reads are still ok, tho) Look in the docs directories for an mtools FAQ (if you have FTP sites - if not I will dig it out and send it to you..let me know) for more specific information. If you want to be extra-careful, you could backup your drive and repartition into 2 dos drives - one that you use for mtools, and one that you don't. If you make one backup of everything (which was recommended before installing Linux) and then keep good backups of changing data on floppy, you shouldn't have too much to worry about. No prob.
