Probably because $50 sounds like a lot less money than $60.
I think people usually look at the first number of a figure
to get the general impression of the price.. The rest ($9.95)
doesn't matter that much. At least if you do it subconsciously, 
actually thinking a bit with your brain usually helps :-)
