Well then; could it be so easy, that someone (Linus?) decides that
latest linux kernel (linux 1.0x pl y I guess :-) is the one, and latest
other packages (boot disk + other programs) are the ones to be included
and those are dumped into an directory on an ftp-site and called as the
"official release", and all but the normal users would ignore it?

Is it so easy?
