I have not been able to make X run on my system. When I run startx the
flickered an the machine hung. Trying to edit Xconfig got rid of the
flicker. It now hangs with a black screen.

I have read through the README-files and the videotutorial as well as
the manpages for X386 without becoming much wiser.

If someone could explain further to me what the Xconfig should contain
or possibly even send me a (on my system) working Xconfig I would be
very pleased indeed.

I have not changed anything else (should I) so the Xconfig is the
probable culprit.

My system:

   486DX-33 8MB RAM
   Adaptec 1542 SCSI + Quantum
   MegaEva 1024K (based on Tseng Labs ET4000 TurboMegaVga chipset)
   Goldstar 1460 PLUS monitor
