The last time that I had this problem, I had failed to install the new
header files.  Certain of the new kernel header files need to be installed
on top of the normal header files before you compile anything.  This is
one thing that I _really_ like about HLU's attempts to unify the kernel
and general include files into a single directory tree.  I think the include
file archive for the 0.96 kernel is 0.96-inc.tar.Z or somesuch on banjo.
HLU could say better than I.
