Nope. The actual librariess are in /lib...  The symbol-table-type-thingys
(don't you just LOVE my technical jargon?) are in /usr/lib/shared and
/usr/shared/lib.  I don't like that latter duplicity, myself, but that's
the way it is.

Here's my utterly personal opinion:
        Programs in /bin should be trivial.  This means that they can
        have no complicated dependancies, and will work even if they
        and the kernel are not critically corrupted.
In many situations this isn't feasible, but it's certainly a nice goal. :)
