Originally, I wrote e-mail in response to the latest posting saying
"You can't do that! This is FidoNet! Waaaaa!" but since it's such a
frequently recurring problem, I thought I'd better post it so all the
little FidoPups can see it at once and thus save some bandwidth.

Evidently, you forgot to check your "Newsgroups:" line because
        you cross-posted to *both* comp.os.coherent *and* comp.os.linux.

        Editor troubles?

*THESE* (that's plural) NEWSGROUPS aren't "forums", nor "echoes".

"Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas any more..."

Welcome to the Usenet, Brian. Perhaps you weren't aware of the
fact that comp.os.linux and comp.os.coherent are Usenet Newsgroups,
and that FidoNet merely taps into it. They're neither FidoNet echoes
nor are they Compu$erve forums, though they may be copied to such
        through gateways (like fidonet.org).

Send the rest of your toilet-training, FidoNet policy packets
to Mars for all I care. (And if you don't get the implications
of *that*, then you must be greener than a Brazilian tree frog.)
