The answer is "yes" to both questions. You can access DOS partitions
with Linux, but I don't know if you can do the opposite. If someone has a pro-
gram that will read Minix filesystems under DOS, I'd like to be steered in its
direction.

: 2. does lunix support a variety of hardware like scsi controllers, video
: cards, hard disk drives, tape drives, etc. etc. ?

It supports a large number of SCSI cards, don't know which ones, but I do be-
lieve a lot of the major ones, like ST-01, WD7000 FASST, Future Domains, et al
are supported and probably more on the way.

Hard drives: ST-506 MFM and RLL are certainly supported, and so are IDE
drives.

Tape drives I believe are supported as well.

: 3. is it possible to have seceral people login at the same time through
: modems and telephone lines remotely ? if so, how and what hardware is
: required ? do i need a single per user or are there multiplexers that will
: connect several users simultaneously through several phone linbes ?

The only way I know of to do multiuser is to use the regular COM1-COMx ports,
but I'm not sure about boards like the DigiBoard.

Hope this answers a few of your questions. I've been running Linux
for almost a month and I _LOVE_ it!

Good luck!
