Ok... I just downloaded X, and messed around with the configuration stuff
until I could get an X term to pop up. Done with that... I can nice it
up more later.

The only reason I want X is so that I can learn to program it. I have
never had any experience in this area before, and to tell the truth, the
first source I looked through scared me to death... not that I am going
to give up or anything.

Before I start ftp-ing all over the world, grabbing everything with an
'X' in the filename, is there anyone out there who remembers when they
took their first stab at X? I am looking for _very_ simple code examples
to get me going in the right direction. If anyone can reccommend a good
program that does something really simple, point me in that direction,
please! Better yet, tar, feather, and uuencode your favorite beginner
X programs (yes the number guessing games, random dots, random dots in
color... everything), and mail them to me. Even if you don't comment
your code at all, simple examples would be very beneficial.

If you can sympathize at all (and you made it this far through this
article), mail mail mail! (don't just give me the big 'n'... or worse
edit your kill file.. uugh)

Thanks!

Kris
