Ooops!  I tried something.  I moved autoexec.bat to autoexec.tmp,
rebooted and ran rawrite.  This time, rawrite2 remained silent,
but rawrite.exe gave a prompt:
"SunMonTueWedThuFriSath"  and then hung.  And when I moved config.sys
to config.tmp (now the machine is without autoexec and config.sys),
rawrite just make the machine beep continuously.  rawrite2.exe still
hangs.

So, the problem is probably with my autoexec and config.  Unfortunately,
my knowledge of DOS is only .5% of my unix.

So now, I need some DOS Gurus ( if such a clan exists :=), ).

I guess it would be a long drawn process before I get this thing
up and running.
