Hello Linux Gurus!
Sorry to post this again. But I am still stuck.
The problem is that rawrite.exe just hangs. I downloaded it
from two different sources, a couple of times from each. (tsx-11.mit.edu)
and sunsite. I was careful to download onto this machine in ftp
binary mode and then thru' kermit which is again in binary mode.
One of you sent a uuencoded copy, but I do not have a uudecode
in my DOS machine. I don't have access to a unix machine right here, but
as a last resort, I can uudecode it or dd on a unix machine, but then
I have wait till the week-end. (Is there a uudecode for DOS machines?)
Here is some more information:
My machine is a 386DX running DOS5.0 at 40MHz. It is not a
name-brand machine, but something one of my friends put together for me.
He said the processor is not an Intel 386, but an AMD 386. I do not know
how much difference that would make, but I never had any problem running
any software on this so far.
I have MS C compiler on my machine. If there is version of
MS C rawrite.c, I can try compiling it.
By the way, I tried both rawrite.exe and rawrite2.exe.
As you know by now, I am stuck without any ideas to try out.
Any help or suggestions? Please! :=) (But in fact the
situation is only :=(
Thank You!
keep smiling!
-Bala.
