I use epoch with X. I tweaked the .emacs file and server.el files so that
epoch starts up as an icon. When you do estart aa, it opens a window and
starts edititing aa. You can edit aa and then exit as if you are exiting the
emacs itself. The window vanishes, buffer is deleted but epoch lives in icon
form waiting for next estart request. Very neat. But the problem is epoch is
compiled static and it is almost 1M binary. I wish the author posts a jump and
X2.1 version which is (likely to be) smaller.
