Back when the 486 came out, I just asked and they sent me a couple of
*books* on the chip.  Free.  Just for asking.  Lots of neat nitty gritty
details in there.  AMD just sent me a book on their new 3 volt chips
including the Am386 and some SCSI and SCSI-II chips.  Warning: just because
it is free, please don't take advantage of it.  Ask for it only if you can
use it.  You could probably call Intel in Santa Clara (area code 408) and
ask for their publications department.
