Okay, I've gotten this far without help, but now I'm stuck. I have an
RTVGA card and a Samsung VGA monitor, and 0.98 and X386 installed. When
I run "X386 -pn" I get:
Configured drivers
VGA 256 (256 colour SVGA)
et4000, et3000, pvga1, gvga, ati, tvga8900
***None of the configured devices was detected.***
Fatal server error:
No screens found
When I run "X386mono -pn" the screen flashes with color for just a moment, and:
Fatal server error:
Failed to initialize core devices
I have read Roell's timing paper, and as many X man pages as I can find, but
nothing addresses this problem. Any suggestions?
