Greetings,
I've just finished installing SLS v0.98pl1 up from v0.96, and have
discovered a new problem. It seems that after the first command I issue
after logging in just after bootup I get the following message:
nr_free_pages is 2, but no free memory found
It doesn't seem to hurt what I'm doing, but it is unnerving to see such
messages (I've been running Linux since 0.11-0.12 and haven't seen
anything like this, I'm using the SLS kernel, but I usually compile my own
when possible). I'm guessing it has to do with memory/swapping. My machine
has 5meg of RAM, but 0 swap area on disk. This has been sufficient since
it is only a single user machine. Any comments/suggestions are greatly
appreciated.
Also, does GCC v2.2.2d compile for jump tables automatically? SLS doesn't
seem to include any GCC docs.
