Greetings !
Like many others, it seems, I have installed sls 98.1 completely
and am now trying to get x11 up and running. Seems like everything
is fine and I even installed Thomas Scheunemann's x8514anew file
using his excellent directions. One hitch though, when I try to
mkfontdir in the /usr/lib/x11/fonts/75dpi directory I get a
failed to create directory in . error message.
mkfontdir in the ~fonts/misc works fine though...
I tried messing with permissions and couldn't find any docs on the
mkfontdir program so I assume this is an sls problem, what the
fix ? Other than that things seem to be working okay, got some
unable to create dir's like /etc something when going thru the
fixit file on sls so this may be a problem...
thanks...
Dave
