I have a problem. I was working on installing uugetty and got no where. Upon returning to getty.... that didn't work either. I started this process in the first place beause the -m switch in the distributed getty refused to work. This is a problem for modem users. To keep things short, it seems that getty is not seeing any character response and there fore does not run login. Uugetty seemed to suffer much the same problem. The port won't show activity and I am tired of it. Any suggestions?
