The code in the Linux boot is only checking for bus mice. My Mouse Systems bus mouse is really a serial mouse on a non-standard serial port. Linux puts out the same three messages about not finding a mouse during boot. But, I have the correct serial device in my Xconfig file and Xfree86-1.0Ya works just fine with my mouse. |> PS: I tried to add a user using the menu, linux does not allow me |> to add a regular user all it accepts are superuser addons. I have had no problems adding users directly to the /etc/passwd file. Though I have found most of the admin tools to be very lacking in the way they work (or don't work). Some don't work with shadow passwd files at all. ================================================================= Kevin J.
