I noticed too that "a4" was too large (roughly 1.6 Mb).  Apparently,
this is (was?) due to the fact that the kernel was included *TWICE*.
One was "lx98.taz" and the other was "lx98p1.taz".  So it looks like
Peter either forgot to delete the 0.98.0 kernel, or accidentally put
in the *whole* 0.98.1 kernel (instead of just the diff/patch file).

As for the x*'s... I don't know.  I haven't 'done' X Windows ...yet.
