The reason the rename system call isn't implemented yet is that there are a couple of problems with it: it isn't as straightforward as you'd imagine. Race conditions, inclusion checking etc.. It will befinitely be in 0.13 or 14 - if you remind me. It's not /that/ difficult, just needs a little thought. In the meantime, you might fake it with "cp +recursive" and "rm -rf".
