Hello, I reckon the most important part of getting linux up is to use anything other than HD partitions hd0 & hd5. After I reread the stuff I had, I found that either one will destroy the partition table and linux will not boot with out a valid partition table and a fs on it. So after putting back the partition table with a 4 part partition and one defined for the disk, I used the minix demo disk to place a fs on hd1. After that things are working great. -- Patrick L.
