G'day,
In Makefiles, there is usually a choice where we can specify what system
we are compiling the given sources, e.g.

  SUN, USG, SGI , SYSV3, SYSV4, etc,...

My question is, what system is Linux conforming to? I read about POSIX
somewhere, but what does that means? USG? SYSVR4?

Thanks In Advance
