As someone who changed from FreeBSD to CentOS, due to a job change, let
me say that one of the things I greatly prefer about FreeBSD is that
they *don't* make very many assumptions about what the user needs,
whereas far too many Linux distributions do the opposite, not only
throwing in too much, but often making it difficult to work around what
they've decided you need.  :)

So, I would respectfully disagree.  It's easy enough to add a dhcp
server if desired, and this way, you don't annoy all the people who
DON'T want it.
