Please do following test:
1) Keep the patches applied
2) Don't build bge into kernel or load bge module at boot time
3) After boot (note command order is important):
pciconf -w pci0:28:0 0x20 0xf200f200
pciconf -w -h pci0:28:0 0x4 0x0006
kldload if_bge
