| Tomaž Borštnar | multi-ip jail
I know all this and much more will come in future, but I was still
wondering whether anyone already ported multi-ip jail capability to
Dfly? It would help me stop fighting with freebsd where I had to
manually fix it in order to even apply it and now I am having problems
with requiring setting outgoing source TCP address in order to have
working outgoing communication. How much would FreeBSD 4.x patch work
for Dfly? Would it be hard to port? Is jail and networking part that
different already?

We can only remove the fourth clause for (c)Copyrights that only list
the U.C. Regents. Any copyright listing other authors instead of or in
addition to the U.C. Regents requires us to get those author's permission.

I'm aware of that fact. But this doesn't change the intention of the
original mail. At the very least I want to avoid having to ask
contributors of new code for those code which does have any kind of
advertisement in it.

Yes, I agree with the removal. That is to say, any patch I submit to a
file which contains a clause 4 that can be removed, should NOT be
construed as further asserting clause 4.

Fine with me - I think I've only touched a few files that have "inline"
copyrights, in any case.

Speaking (bikeshedding?) as someone who hangs around pedagogues as part
of the day job, there isn't a single "best way" to "do it" (learn C):
and certainly, a fairly dry and opaque set of standards texts will only
appeal to a small subset of learners. The learning style, previous
experience, amount of expert contact available, will all vary the "best
way" but it's certainly a personal thing and one that a generalisation
is unlikely to fit. Additional to Joshua's (unknown) level of previous
